Seven draws, 77 matches, two courts, from 7:00 AM. Here is how each one gets to its medals — they are not all the same shape — and the full running order.

Nobody was knocked out on the 5th or the 12th Those evenings decided which draw you are in, not whether you are still in. Everyone who entered plays on Sunday.

Pool games are to 11 — or 11 minutes, whichever comes first If the horn goes before anyone reaches 11, the score at that moment stands. A pool game can end 7–6. It keeps 77 matches on two courts honest.

Every final is 2 games to 15 Not best of three — two games, and if you win one each the medal is decided on total point difference across the two. Semifinals and 3rd-place matches are a single game to 11. Women's Singles and Women's Doubles play 2 games to 11 in their round robin.

Only one draw has semifinals Men's Singles Overperformers. The other six go straight from the table to the final — if you don't see a semifinal in your draw, nothing is missing.

The last match goes on at 7:07 PM. Several draws finish much earlier — Women's Doubles by about 2:23 PM, Men's Singles Overperformers by 5:23 PM — so if you are done in the afternoon, go home and rest, but please do come back. We would much rather put the medal round your neck in front of everyone than hand it over in a car park next week.

What Sunday counts for

Dar United is the official gateway to TPLON — the Tanzania Pickleball League of Nations. Sunday is the last day to build your record.

Play two of the three venues and you're in the Unity Player Pool Between 4 and 20 September — Championship Sunday counts. The Unity Player Pool is the list TPLON teams draw from when they need players: a country or community team short of a roster spot picks from the pool.

Junior Doubles carries double qualifying points No medal in that draw — but the DUPR match at 7:00 AM is worth double towards TPLON qualification.

Results are only part of it Selection also weighs participation across venues, training commitment, turning up when you say you will, and how you treat opponents, officials and volunteers. Being eligible is not the same as being picked — rosters also have to balance level, gender and availability.

Withdrawing from a tournament already under way costs your Unity Pool place Once the draw has started, other people have built their day around your name. Pulling out forfeits eligibility for the Unity Player Pool this cycle. Retiring injured is the exception — an injury sustained in play does not count against you, and neither does a walkover you were on the receiving end of.
Two corrections to the printed pathway document. The Coaches' Elite route is withdrawn — the coaches chose not to prequalify, so that roster is not being formed this year. And the qualifying window runs to 20 September, not the 18th printed in the PDF. The remaining routes into TPLON are the Unity Player Pool, the HPP team, embassy and community teams, and Team Tanzania / Team OWOS.

The points formula and tie-breaks will be published before the qualification standings are treated as final — until then, results and participation are being recorded but no standing is official. Full pathway at darunited.org.

On the day

You don't need to be there at 7:00. Each draw has its own start time — check your own fixtures and come about 20 minutes before you're on.

Ten minutes' grace. If nobody is on court ten minutes after it frees up, the match is forfeited 11–0. That clock starts when the court is actually free, not at the printed time, so a late-running day never costs you a game.

One medal ceremony at the end, around 7:30 PM, for every category. Nobody gets their medal before then.
